Common Questions & Answers

How much does a website cost?

My standard small-business website projects are built around fixed-price, limited-scope engagements, so you know the cost before work begins. More involved or custom work can be discussed separately if the project needs it.

What is included in the base website?

The base site includes design and development for a straightforward small-business website, mobile-friendly page layouts, basic service and contact information, and launch assistance.

How much time will you need from me?

Usually less than people expect. I’ll need basic business information, any existing logo or photos, examples of sites you like if you have them, and timely feedback during review.

Can you update an existing website?

Yes. I can update an existing site if the current setup allows it and the needed changes are clear. If rebuilding would be simpler or more cost-effective, I’ll say so.

What if I don’t like something in the first version?

That is part of the process. The first version gives us something concrete to review, adjust, and improve before launch.

Do you help with hosting and domain choices?

Yes. I can help you understand the basic options for hosting, domains, and launch setup so you know what you’re paying for and what needs to be maintained.

Do you offer ongoing maintenance?

Ongoing maintenance is not included in the base project, but it can be arranged separately if you want help with updates after launch.

Can I pay for a consultation before deciding on a full site?

Yes. The Website Report Card is a paid website review that helps clarify what is working, what is getting in the way, and what to fix first before committing to a larger project.

What kind of websites do you build?

I build practical small-business websites that explain what you do, show customers how to contact you, and present your business clearly online.
